About
Jozi ngaphakathi, means translated from Zulu language, Johannesburg inside. The show focus on different parts of the city of Johannesburg and close surroundings. The journey through Johannesburg starts always in the southern townships of Soweto and goes up to the north, west and east parts of the town. Telling the story of Johannesburg, the culture and history of South Africa is always a part of the show. The first Season has three episodes.
With the end of the first season, Jozi ngaphakathi, will be included into a new ORIGINAL that covers all parts of South Africa, life style, living, history and future of the country. The new ORIGINAL will cover all aspects of South Africa and will resprent it in it's name as well. To not create a competitor to Jozi ngaphakathi both show will be united under one brand/name.

Production History
The filming of the first and second episode of Jozi ngaphakathi was processed in Februray 2019. The first episode was filmed in Soweto, Parktown, Rosebank and Sandton. The second episode focused on the Cradle of Humankind 20km north of Johannesburg. A third episode was filmed in January 2020 in Soweto, the Zoo of Johannesburg and in the emerging district of Maboneng.
